To be honest, TV mounts are a best-selling product line among Brateck's products. One of the most frequently asked questions by customers is: Which is better, a fixed TV mount or a movable telescopic TV mount? In this regard, I think it's necessary to write a blog to introduce the differences between them!
1 Fixed TV Mount
Taking Brateck's products as an example, the KL32-44T and KL32-46T are typical fixed TV mounts.
The most prominent feature of fixed TV mounts is that, compared with movable telescopic TV mounts, fixed mounts are much cheaper!
In addition, most of the current fixed mounts are designed to be ultra-thin and are very close to the wall. For example, the KL32-44T and LK32-46T are only 20 millimeters away from the wall! Nowadays, most TVs are designed to be embedded in the wall. The ultra-thin feature of the TV mount can help the TV be better embedded in the wall and integrate with the overall design. For customers with a relatively small home, such a design can save a lot of space.
However, the disadvantages of fixed TV mounts are also quite obvious: it is impossible to adjust to a better viewing angle! And because it is too close to the wall, it will be relatively troublesome to insert, replace and adjust the cables in the future.
2 Movable Telescopic TV Mount
Taking Brateck's products as an example again, the LPA78-466 is a movable telescopic TV mount.
The greatest advantage of a movable telescopic TV mount is that it can be adjusted to various viewing angles according to your needs.
In addition, it maintains a relatively large distance from the wall, making it more convenient to plug in and unplug cables. However, the price is relatively high.
Compared with the relatively fixed design of the fixed mount, the designs of the movable telescopic mounts are much more diverse.
For example, Brateck's LPA59-443 and LPA78-443 feature a three-legged steel frame design and can move 90 degrees to the left and right. However, if the load is too heavy, they will tilt slightly downward.
The LPA59-466 and LPA78-466 adopt a six-legged steel frame design, which is much more stable. However, their mobility is not as strong as that of the mounts with the model number ending in 443. If there are children or pets at home, the ones with the model number ending in 466 are better than those ending in 443, as there is no need to worry about them tilting downward due to pulling.
There is a more special design: the LDA21-112. In terms of its appearance design, this model is more inclined to be like a monitor arm. However, it is actually a dual-purpose mount that can be used to install a TV or a monitor on the wall.
In fact, I don't have a definite conclusion on whether a fixed TV mount is better or a movable telescopic one is better, because the one that suits you best is the best.
